Saint Steven’s Church and Tower
Construction on St Steven’s Church began around 1254. The building started in Romanesque style but was completed in Gothic style. When the church is open to the public, organ music is played and guided tours are organised. Group tours must be arranged in advance.
St Steven’s Tower has dominated the city skyline for centuries. The tower was built in Renaissance style in the mid fourteenth century. You can climb the tower for a wonderful view of the city, the River Waal and the Ooijpolder.
