Student life in Nijmegen
The oldest city in the Netherlands is home to around 15.000 students at the Radboud University, HAN (Higher vocational education in Arnhem and Nijmegen) and ROC Nijmegen (intermediate vocational education).
Most students in Nijmegen rent a room in a so called 'studenthouse'. They have their private bedroom, but share the kitchen, bathroom and/or toilet with others.

If you are going to live in Nijmegen for more than 4 months, you have to report your move to Nijmegen to the Municipality of Nijmegen within 5 workdays after the actual date of moving in. You can make an appointment with Civil Affairs via tel. 14 024 (from abroad +31 24 329 90 00).
