Travel and transport

By train
All cities in the Netherlands are accessible by rail. And with a transfer in Arnhem, even Germany is close by. Travelling from Amsterdam Airport? The train takes you to Nijmegen in one and a half hours (change in Utrecht).
By car or coach
Nijmegen is connected to the A73 and A325 motorways and is close to the A50 and A15. These pages tell you about our car parks. Coaches can park at the Waalkade. International airports: Amsterdam Schiphol (about 120 km, 1.5 hours by train) and Düsseldorf (Germany, about 120 km).

The port of Nijmegen on the River Waal is Holland’s largest inland carrying trade harbour.
