If you need to use a car on a more regular basis, a shared car might be an option, especially if you are not staying here permanently. Less regular costs, less hassle and more environmentally friendly than owning your own.

GreenWheels and FriendlyCar are companies that provide cars to share in Nijmegen. These cars are parked at many locations throughout the city. You pay a small amount by way of membership and a fee when you really use the car. Reservations can be made online or by telephone and you can choose where you want to pick up the car. You can even rent a car for an hour to go shopping or cruising! Members receive a membership card or code to open the car.
